The challenge
What was in the way
The client places teams of technicians at concerts, galleries and expos — a business whose entire margin lives in whether the right person arrives at the right venue at the right time.
It ran on spreadsheets and phone calls. Scheduling conflicts and administrative bottlenecks were structural, not occasional. They did not need a tool; they needed a technology department.
The solution
What we built
We became one. After discovery run with heavy client participation, we built the platform their operation now runs on: a live calendar showing events, technicians assigned, technicians missing, upcoming demand and current availability; technician profiles with background, résumé and performance scoring; presence verification; client-side event analytics; and threaded communication between the agency, its technicians and its clients. Automated email and invoicing, one-button call and text, and role-based access across technicians, bookers, clients, admins and super-admins.
Two years on we are still shipping. A dedicated Java and Spring Boot administration layer was added in 2026 — JWT authentication, rate limiting, XSS protection and audit logging — and the estate consolidated behind a single reproducible deployment.
The platform is French-first and English alongside it, in the product and in the paperwork: interface strings, server-side message catalogues and the generated call sheets all ship in both languages. For a Quebec-based operation that is not a localisation pass bolted on at the end — it is how the system was built from the first release.
In flight now: a BI layer for technician performance and company financials; unified calendar integration so availability collects itself; and an AI agent that reads those calendars, matches technicians to events on availability and past review scores, and hands the booker a ranked shortlist to confirm with one press. Next is live tracking with check-in and check-out.
