What was in the way
A San Francisco startup had a core product — a cartographic web application letting insurance agents pull historical and statistical data on any farm — built by a previous team and left with more than fifty critical bugs.
It did not run. The budget was nearly gone. Without a working MVP there was no funding round and no company.
The solution
What we built
A rescue. We took the full codebase and database, worked through every failure systematically, partially redesigned the schema where the structure itself was the bug, corrected the business logic, and cleared the frontend.
We added the features needed to demo, and deployed it — because the previous team never had.
The application handles interactive field mapping, land-to-farm and land-to-corporation assignment, public-land-survey lookups, and weather and crop-risk overlays, with PostGIS carrying the geospatial queries.
